Students and community members attend the Job and Transfer Fair
Cowley College鈥檚 main campus in Arkansas City was the site of a Job and Transfer Fair on Wednesday, August 30, inside Cowley College鈥檚 Earle N. Wright Community Room.
Participating employers were The Arnold Group, Arkansas City Police Department, Arkansas City Fire Department, Presbyterian Manor, City of Winfield, Clock Medical Supply, Creekstone Farms, Galaxy Technologies, Four County Mental Health, Rock and Brews Casino, S&Y Industries, SCK Health, Silgan Dispensing Systems, Triumph, Webster Combustion, and Western Industries.
Greg Butler, Cowley College Workforce & Career Specialist, said the event was a success and very well attended.
鈥淪tudents and the public were lined up to meet future employers and start making their transfer decisions,鈥� Butler said. 鈥淲e even had a bus of local high school students come to the event, and we were able to share the value of Cowley College. The feedback from the vendors was also very positive.鈥�
