12 Tiger athletic programs earn Academic Team Awards
The most successful NJCAA programs in the classroom this year were recently recognized with the announcement of the 2022-23 NJCAA Academic Teams of the Year. Cowley College had 12 athletic programs earn recognition by assembling a 3.0 grade point average or higher.
The Lady Tigers tennis team led the way with a 3.64-grade point average, while women鈥檚 and men鈥檚 soccer teams had GPAs of 3.55 and 3.54, respectively.
Volleyball was just behind, with a GPA of 3.53, while women鈥檚 basketball had a GPA of 3.49.
The Cowley men鈥檚 soccer team (3.33), softball (3.23), men鈥檚 basketball (3.13), men鈥檚 indoor track and field (3.12), men鈥檚 outdoor track and field (3.12), women鈥檚 cross country (3.10), and baseball (3.07) also received NJCAA Academic Team Awards.
